Oral Hygiene Education
Volunteer would work one on one with patients to educate about
proper brushing techniques, recommended frequency, and flossing.
Hours needed: M-W 8:30 to Noon and 1:30 to
4:30; Th &F: 8:30 to Noon
Volunteer hours are flexible
Training: SLDDS will train volunteer, a background
in dentistry is not necessary.
Weekly time commitment: Flexible Position
commitment: 3 months
Volunteer Dentist Recruitment
Volunteer would work with the Clinic Manager to schedule
volunteer dentists. This may also expand into office visits
with the Clinic Manager to meet and talk with potential dentists.
Hours needed: M-Th during business hours. Hours
are flexible.
Training: SLDDS will train volunteer, a background
in dentistry is not necessary.
Weekly time commitment: Flexible Position
commitment: 6 months
Exterior Cleaning of the Building
Volunteer would work with the Sorenson Unity Center and SLDDS
to maintain the grounds. Project would include: window washing
and picking up litter in front of the clinic. A great group
service project!
Hours needed: Flexible
Training: N/A
Weekly time commitment: N/A Position
commitment: 1x or can be ongoing
