suffering while preserving oral health through preventative
education and comprehensive treatment to those with no
other access to dental care.

An average of 22 patients were treated a day at SLDDS
during the 3rd Quarter.
SLDDS’ volunteer dentists donated an average of
$ 5,628 in services each day.
Average cost to SLDDS per patient visit: $91.
Volunteer Hours – Donated Dental Program
Throughout the 3rd Quarter a dentist volunteered services
at SLDDS 89% of the clinic’s operating hours.
*There were 240 hours volunteered by dentists during the
3rd Quarter.

Preventative & Restorative Procedures: 52%

Each patient received an average of $258 in services at
each visit.
Procedure Overview. Patients received: 13 crowns, 5 bridges,
43 root canals, 412 fillings, 80 denture or partial plates,
178 periodontal cleanings, 73 adult cleanings, 6 pediatric
cleanings, 115 oral hygiene instruction, 20 fluoride treatments
& and varnishes throughout the 3rd Quarter.
